Dr. Sicco Lehmann-Brauns

After completing a doctoral degree in philosophy at the Freie Universität Berlin, Dr. Lehmann-Brauns was working at the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science as well as for the Hertie Foundation. Then he changed into science management, where he held different leading positions.
From 2007 to 2009, he joined the administrative Headquarters of the Max Planck Society as Scientific Officer for Research Policy and International Relations. His work focused mainly on the analysis of structures and performances of different research and innovation systems.
Finally Dr. Lehmann-Brauns became responsible for the Presidential Department of the Max Planck Society, including the units research foresight and fundraising.
Dr. Lehmann-Brauns joined The National Academy of Science and Engineering, as Head of the Unit Innovation Forum & International Affairs in December 2010, where he is responsible for international relations and strategic development.
He also teaches at the European Business School ESCP Europe (Berlin) and the Carl-von-Linde Academy, Technical University Munich (TUM).
